1982年、静岡県浜松市生まれ。
クラシック音楽教師の両親のもと、幼少期よりヴァイオリンやマリンバに親しみ、音と共に育つ。
2001年、十代最後の旅で訪れたインド・ネパールにて、ヨガ、瞑想、そしてシンギングボウルと出会う。
ネパールに古来より受け継がれてきたシンギングボウルの深遠な波動と癒しの力に心を打たれ、現地へ再渡航。
世界的に有名なシンギングボウル職人、サウンドセラピストのサンタ・ラトナ・シャキア氏に師事。
サンタ氏の家系に伝わる神聖なシンギングボウルの技法と哲学を正確に継承・普及するため、「ヒマラヤンシンギングボウル協会」を設立。
2024年には、サンタ氏を日本に招聘し、多くの人々に感動を与えた。
現在は東京・荻窪スタジオを拠点に、定期演奏会、セラピーを提供。
各種講座も開講し、秘伝のセラピー法や演奏法を伝授。
サンタ氏の工房で作り出される高品質なシンギングボウルやティンシャなどの販売許可を持つ数少ない日本人のサウンドセラピストのひとりでもある。
協会主催イベントとして、日本初となる「シンギングボウルフェスティバル」を開催し、
多くの人にサンタ氏のボウルの波動を伝えている。
また山形県の出羽三山に入峰、山伏修行や合気道（多田塾）での武道的身体観を背景に、
「音・祈り・精神」をつなぐ総合的なヒーリングアプローチを探究している。

Takashi Ishii was born in 1982 in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
Raised in a home filled with music by his parents, both classical music teachers, he was immersed in sound from an early age, studying instruments such as the violin and marimba.
In his late teens, a journey to India and Nepal introduced him to yoga, meditation, and the Himalayan singing bowl. Deeply moved by the profound vibrations and healing power of these ancient instruments, he returned to Nepal to study further.
There, he became a direct student of Santa Ratna Shakya, a world-renowned singing bowl master and sound therapist. Inspired by Santa’s sacred lineage and philosophy, Takashi founded the Himalayan Singing Bowl Association to faithfully preserve and share these traditional methods.
In 2024, he invited Santa Shakya to Japan for a series of events that deeply moved and inspired many.
Currently based at his studio in Ogikubo, Tokyo, Takashi offers regular sound therapy sessions, performances, and training courses. He teaches both the therapeutic and musical aspects of singing bowls, including esoteric techniques passed down through Shakya family.
He is also one of the few Japanese Sound Therapist officially authorized to distribute Shakya’s handcrafted, high-quality singing bowls and tingshaw.
As part of the Association’s initiatives, Takashi organized Japan’s first Singing Bowl Festival, sharing the unique vibrational qualities of Santa's bowls with a wide audience.
In addition to his sound work, Takashi engages in Yamabushi training in the sacred Dewa Sanzan mountains of Yamagata and is a long-time practitioner of Aikido (Tada Juku style). Drawing from these physical and spiritual disciplines, he continues to explore an integrated healing approach that weaves together sound, prayer, and spirit.
